I guess I can file this one under "What a silly world we live in!"
I left out a really fascinating stop on our road trip. Just before we met the Chaplain in Arco, Idaho (see earlier post - 8 States in 12 days) we stopped at a National Park called Craters Of The Moon. It gets its name from the fact that it is an area that looks as barren as the lunar landscape. It is the result of massive lava flows that rose to the surface and cooled and which are remarkably free of vegetation for miles. It's well worth a visit if you ever find yourself traveling route 93.
I am not the first to say it but travel changes you. I came back from Asia a different person. I came back from Italy with a changed view of what great food is. I came back from Africa with so many questions in my head I knew even then it would take more than a lifetime to answer them.
